When we started this process I thought of 20 problems we would encounter, but never at any point did I think taking the drive chains off would be something that would stump us. The 75 and 95 are vertical lift style arm linkages, the 70 and 90 are a radial arm. The 95 is a beast with a pretty long wheelbase.
I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on high hours for a CASE 70XT skid steer with a Cummins diesel engine in it. The machine has 6500 hours on it, but is in awesome shape. I opened up the ROPS and looked at the engine and hydraulic components and everything appears to be very clean and leak free. We have both a late 1845c and a 70xt. The 70 is more refined, quieter, faster hyd, rides better, and way more power. The 70's cab tilts forward by removing two bolts. Gear case is simpler on 70. 1845c is a tough machine, but may get replaced with another 70xt. I think a 70xt and 60xt are the same only the 70 is turboed.
I was able to find out that drive motors were upgraded for 40xt, 60xt, 70xt by Case due to a issue with them leaking oil into the chain case. Build date codes are on the end of the drive motor from the manufacturer.
